Technology and Spirituality

 Technology and Spirituality

Technology and Spirituality may seem to be a mix of water and oil or something two events moving in the opposite direction. But it actually may not be that way to understand. Technology and Spirituality has some uniqueness, both are on a progressive side. They both move their adaptors or, to catch the right word, users in pattern of progress.

A stagnated technology and the stagnated spirituality cannot hold people together for a long time. People basically need change, change in ideas, change in the way they do things, change that keeps them busy in syncing with what is happening around them.

Spirituality may prefer to stay out of the lane meant for technology, but in reality, it is not possible for that to happen. Spirituality always believes that there is something greater than an individual. All the forces beyond the reach and control of humans are deposited into spirituality.

Interestingly, technology is something that aims to reach out and control things that were not humanly possible. With little realization, people still do not understand, that every technological development, breaks down old spiritual understand and rebuilds newer ones in their mind.

May a time people feel like coming closer to spiritual realization, knowing more about self, but in each of such advancements there is a setback which secretly raises spiritual platforms to new heights making people travel the added length by marching towards it.

If for experimental purpose humans stop technological advancements for next few years, the pattern of their living will make them so mechanical, a repetitive living being, they will literally have no feel for a spiritual realization, because nothing is any more challenging. Everything looks to be so programmed that it happens systematically, even without any indulgence and interventions of humans.

In such a condition, man will be another creature in nature like all other creatures, accepting the life the way it is spread out. Such situations will make humans come very close to nature and the closeness will be such that acceptance of events programmed and planning to live with it will be the only mechanized preference giving no scope for spiritual journey. In fact, in such a case people may not need a spiritual enlighten because nothing is going to change.

This very monotonous patterns are broken by technological advancements; by bringing new technologies we also bring in new challenges, and the march towards tackling such new challenges becomes a priority. It is then that the humans imagine existence of powers beyond their reach. It is only then humans believe in spirituality.

As technology progress and develop, spirituality is taken to new heights. Technology becomes tangible force and spirituality becomes an intangible force. Technology will never nullify spirituality and spirituality will never halt technological progress. The fate of technology and that of spirituality are embedded in each other.

The Great Redemption

The Great Redemption

Internet defines redemption as an act of redeeming or atoning for a fault or mistake or the state of being redeemed or deliverance or rescue.

Mistakes and errors are integral part of any decision-making life. There could be no better chance like a second change. In theory the act of redemption holds a state of total deliverance from all fault lines. In practical life it takes quite a long period even for humans to realize that they have crossed the fault lines.

There are many great philosophies in India which were never buried but lay scattered like an open script shining bright like the morning lotus every day and every hour. Indian philosophies were always simple and open in many ways including its source. Existence of diffracted views never shall harm the truth.

One such script is on the Cheeranjeevis. A Cheeranjeevi is a status gift delivered on the chosen one to live an eternal life crossing all tie barriers. Interestingly Guru Shukracharya possesses the divine power to recite and bring back any life that is declared dead. Guru Shukracharya is depicted as Planet Venus in the ancient Vedic Astrology. This is the only planet that spins in the anti-clockwise direction.

The Hindu Philosophy or the Philosophy of Nature mentions about the Cheeranjeevi status given to seven mythological characters.

Hanuman

Parashurama

Vibhishana

Mahabali

Markandeya

Ashwathaman

And the seventh holds many views; it is either Prahalad or Veda Vyas.

Humans cross many fault lines on many occasions. Some of the fault lines they cross are like afflicted moral conduct, harming children, harming parents, harming siblings, harming spouse, harming elders, harming friends, harming nature, harming animals, harming plants, cheating friends, exploiting environment and natural resources and many more as humans feel fit to add.

The crossing of fault lines invites distress to both mental health and physical health. It is like an open electric circuit where the resistance is high, or the circuit is open thereby causing the prevention of flow of current.

The seven Cheeranjeevis are the forces who can redeem humans from their afflicted state of mental and physical health. Nothing gets connected until invited to connect. The river always flows and animals and birds go to the river to quench their thirst. Plants move their roots to collect the essential water.

The key is to “Connect”. All the seven Cheeranjeevis are forces available in time-space dimensions with whom one can connect and get redeemed. Now the question that may arise is “Who to connect with for which fault line crossing to get redeemed?”

Welcome to Indian Mythology where everything is kept open like the nature.
