On Judgement

On Judgement

Digital world defines Judgment as the ability to form opinions or to make sensible decisions after carefully considering all available information.

For the purpose of analyzing the patter of thoughts leading to the formation of Judgement, the population is classified into two sections, one under the pre-digital era and the other under the post-digital era.

Most of the information made available in the pre-digital era was from the print media, standardized television programs, radio news and through interpersonal communication within a close circle of people. In fact, telephone played a major role in communication between people known to one another.

In the Post-Digital era there is no boundary to restrict the flow of information. Information, in its new acronym known as Data, flows freely to reach individuals unannounced irrespective of their relevance to the receiver.

Many of us are witness to both pre-digital and post-digital era. We should be the most confused lot when it comes to forming an opinion to make a sensible decision for any judgement. In fact, there exists a fear amongst us as to how this "Digital Generations" receive and process these free-flowing data to make a judgement.

Even a slightest of an error in the accuracy of the information can have an impact in the society similar to a falling meteor.

One possible chilling view could be that in the pre-digital era, the minds of the people were made to involve in the process of finding options to take a decision, but in the post-digital era the mind seems to just take in a pre-processed decisions and simply respond rather than to react.

The process of judgement has moved from an internally evolvable state to a preset state.
